In spite of, or perhaps because of, Roman Catholic church teachings condemning homosexuality, many lay Catholics in the United States are more accepting toward same-sex relationships than the general public, a new survey found. "The big finding here is that American Catholics are at least 5 points more supportive than the general population across a range of gay and lesbian issues," said Robert Jones, chief executive of the Public Religion Research Institute, which conducted telephone surveys of 3,000 Americans. 70% of American Catholics say that messages from America's places of worship contribute to higher rates of suicide among gay & lesbian youth.

it's impossible to imagine the priority which the catholic church? places on literally preventing gay relationships. at any cost sternly back to that person and to "creation" herself, with no understanding of the nature of the redemption through the virgin form of love as equal. sin has nothing to do with public opinion, but the form of love in which it is redeemable had not occurred. i have the only real information about the additional grace.

Ever since I came out as trans, this priest that I know scolded me for "confusing" the youthgroup kids. He said alot of ugly things to me and? claims that he only said them because he "loves" me and that his trying to "save" me. He even said a cheap joke about people with gender identity issues while peaching to the youthgroup the day before Christmas Eve!
At least now I know that not every catholic agrees with him & I'm just happy about that!

i was raised ...
i was raised Catholic and went to all Catholic schools. when i realized i was gay as very young teen i went thru such inner turmoil. i cried about it but at same time i would wank thinkin bout a guy in my gym class. the church really does a head trip on u when ur a Catholic boy. im 23 now and so happy that im gay. i have issues but not with myself, with the church. im best friends with 2 nuns who taught me and my? priest, who told me God made me and He does not make mistakes.
